Grace V. Stahley, 89, a resident of Country Meadows, Allentown, formerly of Schnecksville, died May 1, 2014, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Paul L. Stahley.

Born Jan. 9, 1925, in Freeland, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of the late Robert V. and Helen M. (O'Neill) Mason.

A 1946 graduate of the former Allentown Hospital School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township, for 20 years before retiring in 1984.

Prior to that, she worked at the Phoenixville Hospital and the former Allentown General Hospital.

She was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, the U.S. World War II Nurse Cadet Corps and the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing Alumni.

Her survivors include a daughter Elaine M. Thorne and her husband, Raymond, of Spokane, Wash.; son Paul D. and his wife, Monica, of Universal City, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
