Forrest E. Heiser

Forrest E. Heiser, 85, from Whitehall, died April 29, 2014, in Fellowship Terrace, Whitehall.

He was the husband of Kathryn L. (Haas) Heiser for 63 years until her death in August 2013.

Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Charles and Edna (Herber) Heiser.

He was a self-employed painter around the Lehigh Valley for 10 years and also worked for Armstrong World Wide Industries, Kuhnsville, for seven years.

Prior to that, he was a shipping clerk for the former Lehigh Portland Cement Co., Fogelsville, for 17 years.

He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, New Tripoli, Grundsow Lodge 15, Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society, and was the past treasurer of the Weisenberg One-room Schoolhouse.

He was a member of Fellowship Community Bible Fellowship Church, Whitehall, and an associate member of Morgenland Church, Orefield.

His survivors include a son, Roger D. and wife, Deborah, of Manheim; daughter Brenda E., wife of Richard Geiger of Hummelstown; sister LaRue Rex of New Tripoli; grandchildren Elizabeth, wife of Eric Velkly, Matthew Heiser and wife, Joanna, Christina, wife of Christopher Saikus, and Timothy Geiger and wife, Jessica; great-grandchildren Conner and Tyler Velkly, and Joshua Heiser.
