Daniel D. Diehl, 85, of Northampton and formerly of North Catasauqa, died April 26, 2014, in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Kathryn "Casey" E. (Case) Diehl.

Born in East Allen Township, he was a son of the late Arthur C. Sr. and Ruth (Dech) Diehl.

He was a U.S. Navy Seabee during World War II and was also a U.S. Merchant Marine.

He worked in the 48" rolling mill at Bethlehem Steel for more than 23 years.

He is survived by two sons, Randy and his wife Gayle and Wayne and his wife Kathy; two daughters, Janet and her late husband Steven Zernhelt and Barbara and her husband Thomas Bandle; three sisters, Marilyn and her husband Lester Thomas, Ethel and her husband Keith Allswede, and Connie and her husband Thomas Galgon; a sister-in-law, Laura Diehl; eight grandchildren; four great–grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Jr.
