A street covered in clothes

A woman throwing clothing onto the street from a bedroom window in the unit block of North Second Street brought police to the scene Friday, May 2, at approximately 12:55 a.m. Police said they calmed the woman down and she agreed to pick up the clothing and bring them back inside.

Noise complaint

Police responded late Saturday afternoon to a vehicle parked in the street, the unit block of North Third Street, with the stereo playing very loud. The operator of the vehicle was contacted and the stereo volume was turned down.

Retail theft

Police responded to a call from the the Giant Food Store, Cherry and Chestnut streets, on Saturday, by the store's security personnel, that a man was observed stealing meat valued at $120.12. Police say Samuel Gonzalez, 71, of Whitehall, was arrested and cited for retail theft.
