Claire E. Knecht

Claire E. Knecht, 85, of Fullerton, died April 25, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus.

She and her husband Paul W. "Peanuts" Knecht were married 63 years.

Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Tobias A. and Rilla (Mohrey) Brosious.

She was a member of St John's United Church of Christ, Fullerton.

A 1946 graduate of Whitehall High School, she worked for many years at Miniphot Studio and R.J. Harwick Photography, both in Allentown.

A talented artist, she was a member of the Parkland Art League and enjoyed collecting everything about horses.

She was the former sergeant at arms of the Fullerton American Legion Post 367 Auxiliary.

She dedicated her life to raising her family, and treasured her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Jade L. Krim and her husband Daniel of Bethlehem, and Ellen C. Taylor of Idaho; son Kris H. Knecht and his wife Donna of New Tripoli; two granddaughters and three grandsons; two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons; nieces, nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Charlotte, and sisters Laura Scheirer and Rilla Micklos.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church endowment fund, 575 Grape St. Whitehall, PA 18052.
