Liberty High school's boys track and field team defeated rival, Freedom, 92-54 last week.
Winners in each event were Liberty's Josiah Wright in the 100 dash with a time of 11.3, and Freedom's Anthony Flatts in the 200 dash with a time of 22.9 and the 400 dash with a time of 51.9.
Ben Ziegler won the 800 with a time of 2:08.0, and Chris Kelly won the 1600 with a time of 4:49.0, both for Freedom, and Liberty's Alex Fitch won the 3200 with a time of 10:05.
Freedom's Anthony Ortiz took first place in the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.0 and in the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.2.
Isaiah Avent, Darius Jones, Victor Santiago, and Wright combined to win the 4x1 relay for the Hurricanes with a time of 44.5.
Alexander Rivera, Ortiz, Jonathan Gill, and Flatts won the 4x4 relay with a time of 3:31.4 for the Patriots.
Robert Appleby, Sam Belony, Andrew Pfeiffer, Brendan Reilly won the 4x8 relay with a time of 8:28 for Liberty.
The Hurricanes won all throwing and jumping events.
Denzel Vereen placed first in the shot put with a distance of 45-2 and the discus with a distance of 128-5.
Chase Sakitis took first place in the javelin with a distance of 143-6. Jones won the long jump with a distance of 20-7 and the triple jump with a distance of 43-4.
Avant took first place in the high jump with a height of 5-9, Julien Guiteau won the pole vault with a height of 8-9.
