A vehicle accident in Hanover Township resulted in a fatality.

According to State Police, motorist Patel Maheshbhai of Bethlehem struck pedestrian Benjamin Sandoval, 59, of Houston, Texas, April 23 at 1670 E. Race St., just east of Fashion Drive, Hanover Township.

Sandoval was attempting to cross the roadway at approximately 5:15 a.m., when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Maheshbhai, police said.

The Lehigh County coroner's office pronounced Sandoval dead at the scene.

State police and the coroner's office are handling the investigation.
