Melanie A. Cronk, 54, of Allentown, died April 23, 2014, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

She and her husband Russell A. Cronk celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last June 11.

Born June 16, 1959, in Allentown, the was the daughter of Kenneth T. Rhode of Allentown and the late June M. (Otter) Rhode.

She was employed in the Physical Therapy Department of Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall, for 24 years, last working in June 2013.

Prior to that, she was a forklift operator at Tyler Pipe, Macungie, and an overhead crane operator for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp.

She was a member of SOS, Sisters of Survivors support group.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by daughters, Erin E. and Lauren M. Cronk, both at home; sister Cathy S. Reinert of Allentown; brothers Kenneth T. Jr. of Idaho, and Randall K. and James S., both of Allentown.

Her memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. May 3, in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.

Visitation period from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Morgenland Union Cemetery, Orefield.
