Edward W. Scherman, 59, of Catasauqua, died April 18, 2014, in his home. He was the husband of Susan A. (Roth) Scherman for 34 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edward W. and Margaret A. (Valent) Scherman.

He was a 1972 graduate of Allen Area Senior High School, Allentown.

He worked in the distribution department of Kraft Foods, Fogelsville, for 34 years, retiring in 2008.

He was a Catholic.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly of Catasauqua and Amanda and her husband Jeffrey R. Kleinguenther of Macungie; a granddaughter, Ava, on the way; a sister, Kathy and her husband Walter Dwinal Jr. of Catasauqua; nieces; and nephews.
