Warm weather and sunshine made their appearances for Bath Earth Day at Keystone Park last Saturday.
Three young girls from Girl Scouts Troop 8219, Bath, along with their group leader, Terri Schmoyer, and her co-leader, Larysa Nemth, volunteered their time to pick up recyclable items and trash around the Park and stream.
In addition to cleaning up Keystone Park, the young girls and women also planted spring flowers around the park's welcome sign and planted a tree by the library book exchange case in the middle of the park.
The planted tree was purchased by the Girl Scouts Troop.
Because of the Scout's dedication and their requirements, fifth grade students Meredith McGraw, Morgan McEntire and Katelyn Unangst will receive a flower and Earth badge for their efforts and accomplishments. They were also happy to receive Rita's Italian Ice after their hard work was completed.
Bath Borough Manager Tom Petrucci and council President Bob Fields also volunteered their time to help the Girl Scouts on Saturday.
Bath provided the flowers to be planted in the front.
Petrucci and Fields also planted flowers at the other nearby parks in Bath.
