Marvin A. Brunner Sr., 73, of Allentown, died April 22, 2014, in his home.

He and his wife Marie H. (Ruppert) Brunner celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last Oct. 29.

Born Jan. 31, 1941, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Mamie (Brunner) Eck.

He was a farm laborer for Jaindl Farms Inc., Orefield, for 51 years before retiring in 2012.

Prior to that, he worked for the former Trexler Orchards, Orefield.

He was a member of Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, Orefield.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Cheryl A. Himmelwright and her husband, Dan, Cindy L. Raine and her husband, Michael, and Melinda L. Stettler and her husband, Robert, all of Allentown, Dawn D. DeLong and her companion, Mark Conrad, of Hamburg, Amanda A. Raine at home; son Daniel E. at home; brothers Lee, Ronald, Thomas, Keith and Gary Eck; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son Marvin A. "Butch" Brunner, who died in 2010.

His funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. April 26 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Jimmy Lee Werley officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery, Orefield.
