Hope Lutheran Church will serve as the location of Car Wash for a Cause Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The confirmation class will be hosting the event, with help from the youth group for snacks and baked goods.

Proceeds will go towards the National Youth Group Gathering in Detroit 2015 and to a cause yet to be chosen.

Recently, the annual basket social was held at the Lehigh Township Fire Company, Cherryville.

Thanks to everyone who helped, donated items and supported the event.

On Sunday, May 4, the society will hold a grand opening of the completed Lehigh Township Historical Centre addition.

The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.

All are invited to attend.

There will be tours, door prizes, light refreshments and a souvenir given to visitors.

Check out the items available for sale and buy one of our new T-shirts or hats.

Bring your friends and family.

The centre opens Sunday, May 11, from 1 to 4 p.m., for its monthly open house dates for 2014.

Drop in to visit and see what has been done in the new addition.

Check out the information available in the many albums on the shelves regarding the township villages, people of the township, genealogy, etc.

On Saturday, May 17, a take-out chicken or pork dinner will be prepared in front of the Lehigh Township Historical Centre by Lorah's Roasters.

The meal consists of pork or chicken, a baked potato, coleslaw, roll and dessert.

There will also be other desserts available for purchase that day.

Hope Church will begin offering a grief support group so people have the opportunity to help one another going through the grieving process.

The group meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

The group will meet for 12 weeks and use materials from the "Grief Sharing" series.

The group is open to the community.
