Charles R. Hausman, 73, of Schnecks-ville, died April 19, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, surrounded by his loving family.

He and his wife Joyce E. (Gaugler) Hausman celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on March 1.

Born Dec. 7, 1940, in Danielsville, he was the son of the late Francis and Verna (Haydt) Hausman.

He was the grounds supervisor at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs, for 10 years before retiring in 2012.

Prior to that, he was employed as the maintenance supervisor for the former Continental Fabrics for 16 years and the former Garnet Chemical, both in Allentown, for 26 years.

He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Brenda L. Midkiff and her husband, Michael, of Thomasville, Timothy A. and his wife, Patricia, of Orefield, Betty J. Pataccoli and her husband, John, of Salem, Ore., Karen L. Kressley and her husband, Gary, of New Tripoli; brothers Barry of Walnutport, and Clark of Northampton; sisters Jean Smith of New Tripoli, Bonnie Hausman of Whitehall, Donna Campbell of Northampton and Sharon Mohl of Whitehall; grandchildren Marsha, Bethany, Stephen, Katelyn, Alexander and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren Taylor, Cody and Kayla.

He was predeceased by siblings Leonard, Donald, Shirley, Rose and Gloria.

His funeral services will be 2 p.m. April 24, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects 1-2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
