Michael J. Capone

Michael J. Capone, 81, of Macungie and formerly of Roseto, died April 14, 2014, in Devonhouse Assisted Living of Allentown. Born in Roseto, he was a son of the late Phillip and Grace D'Imperio Capone. He was the husband of the late Ann (Finkbeiner) and the late Sandra (Peifly) Capone.

He was a 1950 graduate of Bangor High School.

He was in the Navy School of Music and served in the U.S. Navy as Navy musician from 1951 to 1953.

He owned and operated several businesses in the Slate Belt area including Capone's Music Store in Bangor, the Ye Olde Carpet Shoppe of Bangor, Unique Fashions of Roseto and the Sears and Roebuck Store in Bangor.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Roseto.

He was a member of the Martocci-Capobianco American Legion Post 750, Roseto.

He is survived by two daughters, Michele and her husband Ted James, of Macungie and Cindy and her husband Frank Lipyanic, of Pen Argyl; four grandchildren, Erika, Katherine, Tyler and Sandra; and a great-grandson, Nolan.

He was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Caiazzo.
