Joyce S. Pandl, 74, of Emmaus, died peacefully April 20, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Julius L. Pandl. Born in Rochester, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Jermima (Ochs) Gerber.
She volunteered in the cafeteria at St. Ann School, worked at the Round House Restaurant, was the bookkeeper for Valley Distributing and was a production worker at Kraft Foods.
She was an avid NBA fan, especially of the Heat. She loved playing cards and computer games, chocolate and was a great cook. She had a knack for decorating and was a great organizer.
She is survived by a son, David L. and his wife Lisa, of Columbus, N.J.; daughters, Cynthia M., of Emmaus, Julie A. and her husband Dave Unger, of Alburtis, Lynn A. and her husband William Nahrgang, of Allentown, and Jennifer L., of Allentown; brother, Blair J. Gerber, of Allentown; sister, Joan A. Gerber, of Allentown; grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachel, Danielle, Jessica, Zachary and Alexander. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold F. "Buddy" Gerber, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. April 25 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
