Theft from vehicle
Reported in the 1600 block of Laurel Lane near Beech Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed several items with a total value of approximately $1,000 from a vehicle between April 5 and April 7. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
DUI
Saad Abrahim Almahin, no age given, of Saudi Arabia, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, speeding, driving without a license and careless driving after he was stopped by police for allegedly speeding, driving 82 m.p.h. in a posted 55 m.p.h. zone, while westbound on Interstate 78 at Lehigh Street, 2:48 a.m. April 10. Almahin allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication at the time of the traffic stop when police also discovered Almahin allegedly did not have a valid driver's license. Almahin allegedly consented to a search of his car where police found about 6 grams of marijuana along with additional drug paraphernalia.
Unlawful use of a computer
Reported in the 5200 block of Wheatland Drive, Upper Milford Township, 7:30 a.m. April 10, a resident received a phone call warning of a computer virus corrupting his computer and requesting remote access to fix the computer. The caller, which the resident thought was with Microsoft, took credit card information from the resident and charged him $122.22 to remove the virus. The investigation continues.
Theft by unlawful taking
Christopher Allen Peifley, 43, of Allentown, was charged with theft by unlawful taking after he allegedly ordered and ate a meal at Italiano Delite, 1985 Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:53 p.m. April 2. Peifley allegedly was unable to pay for the meal and was given 24 hours to pay the restaurant. Peifley allegedly did not pay the restaurant by the deadline.
Theft
Reported by AT&T in the 5000 block of German Road, Upper Milford Township, approximately $700 worth of copper wire and pipe was taken from the AT&T cell tower sight between March 9 and April 8. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Criminal mischief
Reported in the 6600 block of Carmel Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 12:30 and 1:25 a.m. April 6, eggs thrown onto the property. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Harrassment
Elechi Sembene Wilson, 27, no address given, was charged with harassment and criminal mischief after she allegedly scratched a woman's neck and broke her headphones in the 3000 block of S. Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 10:45 p.m. April 11.
Dariusz Brodowski, 42, of Macungie, was cited for harrassment after he allegedly struck a 38-year-old female in the 3800 block of Firebrick Road, Lower Macungie Township, March 22. Brodowski allegedly struck the woman several times in the face.
