Gladys Naomi Miller, 83, of Niles, Ill., died on April 2, 2014.
Born in Lynnville, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Samuel and Annie Minerva (Werner) Miller.
Her parents ran the Lynnville Country Grocery Store for 41 years. Her grandparents were the late Jonathan and Lydia (Smith) Werner and Samuel and Hettie (Billig) Miller.
She lived in Kistler Valley until she moved to Chicago in 1952.
A 1948 graduate of Slatington High School and a 1951 graduate of the Allentown General Hospital School of Nursing, she worked for Dr. Harold Laker for three to four years until her retirement in 1992.
Prior to this, she was employed at Bethesda Hospital, Chicago, Ill. for 22-1/2 years.
She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran (Red) Church, Kempton, and attended Niles Community Church in Illinois.
She was a member of the Alumnae Association of Allentown Hospital.
Her survivors include close friends Greta Barron of Chicago and Ivan and Marlene Kovac of Mt. Prospect, Ill.
