Edward P. Buzza

Edward P. Buzza, 89, died April 12, 2014, at Fellowship Manor. He was the husband of the late Emma (Veres) Buzza.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Kathryn (Stenga) Buzza.

He was a graduate of Whitehall High School and attended Rutgers University.

He was a U.S. Army corporal in the 104th Infantry Division, the Timberwolves, during World War II, and was a recipient of a Bronze Star.

He was a programmer, analyst and systems designer for the Social Security Administration in Washington, D.C. He retired as the deputy assistant Bureau Director of Data Development where he supervised more than 200 employees. He was listed in the Who's Who in Government 1975 to 1976. He then became the education director for the Tampa, Fla., PC USers Group.

He is survived by four sisters, Doris Potak and Frances Hewko of Northampton, Helen and her husband George Pfeiffer of Whitehall and Barbara of Allentown; nieces; nephews; grand–nieces; and grand–nephews.
