Daniel "Danny" William O'Donnell, 65, of Mac-ungie, died on April 4, 2014, after a valiant four-year battle with cancer.
He and his wife Judy (Cowher) O'Donnell were married 40 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of Rita (Girardi) O'Donnell of Macungie and the late Wilbert (Bill) O'Donnell.
A graduate of Dieruff High School, he was the 1967 Senior Athlete of the Year, co-captain of the basketball team and competed in track and cross-country.
He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He worked for the former Schaefer Brewing Co., now Samuel Adams Brewery, Fogelsville, from 1970 until retiring in 2010.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Jamie; sister Sheri (Buss), wife of Tip O'Neill of Bryn Mawr; aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.
