Charles E. Breininger, 89, of Weisenberg Township, died April 11, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services, Allentown.

He was the husband of the late Betty Jean (Bear) Breininger, who died on Feb. 20, 1974.

Born April 21, 1924, in Weisenberg Township, he was a son of the late Wilson and Mary Ellen (Rupp) Breininger.

A self-employed farmer the majority of his life, he also worked for the former Trojan Powder Co. for many years until his retirement.

He was a member of Seipstown Grange.

His survivors include a son Larry C. of Fogels-ville, Basil L. Sr. and his wife, Patricia of Fogels-ville; sisters Ruth Wesner of Hamburg, Lillian Folk of Allentown; grandchildren Stephanie, wife of Larry Snyder Jr., Basil Jr. and his wife, Samantha, Jennifer, wife of John Saranchak; and great-grandchildren Shelby, Jacob, Makenzie and Mason Snyder and Jarrett Saranchak.

He was predeceased by siblings Henry, Paul, Ira, Alton, Wesley, Leroy, Robert, Kermit, Harlan and Mary Raber.

Family and friends are invited to call 10-11 a.m. April 17 at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc. 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, followed by the service at 11 a.m.

Interment will conclude services at Ziegels Union Church Cemetery, Weisenberg Township.
