Beulah C. "Freddie" Frederick, 98, of Luther Crest Retirement Community, South Whitehall Township, formerly of Allentown, died April 12, 2014.

She was the wife of the late Gail Frederick.

Born in Wanamakers, she was the daughter of the late George and Estella (Long) Billig.

A graduate of Kutztown State Teachers College, now Kutztown University, she was a teacher in the Southern Lehigh School District from 1958 until retiring in 1980.

Prior to that, she was a teacher for the Governor Mifflin School District, Berks County, and at a one-room schoolhouse in Lynn Township.

Her survivors include a son Glenn C. and his wife, Diana, of Landenberg; grandsons Gaven C. of Atlanta, Ga. and Garth C. and his wife, Danee, of Greenville, S.C.; granddaughter Gwendolyn C. of Los Angeles, Calif. and great-granddaughter Sonia.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. April 21, at J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts., Allentown.

Calling hour will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
