South Whitehall Township police say the female driver of a Honda Acura had to be extricated from her car after it was struck by a tractor-trailer 8:44 a.m. April 3 on Cedar Crest Boulevard, near Iron Bridge Road, South Whitehall Township.

According to South Whitehall Cpl. Paul Dickinson, the tractor-trailer was northbound when it struck the southbound Acura, pushing it into a guardrail.

The woman was transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Greenawalds and Woodlawn volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.
