Burglary

Reported at a residence in the 1400 block of Hidden Valley Road, Lower Macungie Township, a window was pried open and a window screen was pushed in the residence by an unknown actor who then took a laptop computer and miscellaneous jewelry before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Retail theft

Kala Brittney Brezovec, 19, of Bethlehem, was arrested for retail theft after she allegedly attempted to take three items for a total value of $45.25 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:46 a.m. March 24. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

Dan Michael Jedejczyk, 31, of Whitehall, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly attempted to take several items for a total value of $131.80 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:08 a.m. March 23. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

Cathy Carol Kercher, no age given, of Macungie, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly attempted to conceal several items in her purse at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:48 a.m. March 22. Kercher was taken to Lehigh County Prison.

Reported by Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor took three Shark brand vacuums and a steam mop from shelves and fled the store without paying for the items, valued at $583, 1:56 p.m. March 25. The actor fled the area in an early 2000s model black Acura with tinted windows and a loud exhaust. The actor was described as white and wearing a winter cap, gray hooded sweatshirt with blue stripes, jeans and sneakers. It was not known if the actor was a man or woman. Access device fraud

Reported in the 900 block of S. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor used a gift card linked to a resident's credit card account to purchase items at Walmart and multiple gas stations throughout Bethlehem, Easton and Phillipsburg and Lopatcong, N.J. for a total of $1,780.91 between March 11 and March 15. The investigation is continuing.

Identity theft

Reported in the 5000 block of Shimerville Road, Upper Milford Township, a fraudulent tax return was filed using a stolen social security number 2:44 p.m. March 21. The Internal Revenue Service was notified and the investigation continues.

Loitering and

prowling

Reported in the 1500 block of Minesite Road, Lower Macungie Township, a rear screen door was found open and an unknown actor was spotted standing at the rear of a residence 5:30 a.m. March 24. The actor fled the residence when an exterior light was turned on. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Terroristic threats

Reported on Interstate-78, westbound prior to exit 60, Upper Saucon Township, 11:18 a.m. March 7, an unidentified male pointed a small caliber pistol at a driver in a road rage incident.
