Sophie Laufik, 89, of North Whitehall Township, died March 19, 2014, at home.

She was married to the late Frederick B. Laufik.

Born in Ormrod, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Verna (Skalish) Kosht.

A sewing machine operator for various local mills, she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Whitehall.

Her survivors include a son, John, at home; sisters Anna Kosht, Evelyn, wife of Bernard Slusaw, both of North Whitehall Township; a nephew and nieces.

She was predeceased by a sister, Mary, and brothers James, Michael, John and Paul.
