Julia Henitz, 94, of Northampton, died March 29, 2014, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late John Henitz.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Julianna (Orban) Sakovits.

She was a saleslady at Macy's for 27 years.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

She and the Sakovits family were founding members of Sts. Peter and Paul Hungarian Society, of which she was a member.

She is survived by two sons, John and his wife Mary Ellen of Bergenfield, N.J. and Michael and his wife Diana of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; three grandsons, John M., Stephen J. and James B.; a brother, John and his wife Phyllis Sakovits of Northampton; a niece, Judith Dellisant; and a nephew, Tom Sakovits.
