Florence E. Sawicki, 99, of Northampton, died March 30, 2014, at Sacred Heart Senior Living. She was the wife of the late Ignatius Sawicki.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Elsie (Goldschmidt) Bodisch.

She was a seamstress at various Lehigh Valley factories for many years.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Sacred Church, Bath.

She is survived by a daughter, Irene E. and her husband Michaek Kolessar of Northampton, a son, Tom of Huntersville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Allison and Kaitlin; two sisters, Alice Bodish and Elsie Ivankovits, both of Northampton, and a sister-in-law, Stella Bodisch of Allentown.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Walter, Richard, Arnold and Alfred Bodisch; and a sister-in-law, Anna.

Calling hours will be held 8:30 to 10 a.m. April 3 at Reichel Funeral Home Inc., 326 21st St., Northampton. There will be a burial mass 10:30 a.m. April 3 at the church, 117 Washington St., Bath.

Contributions may be made to the church or to Sacred Heart Hospice, c/o the funeral home.
