Primary care facility opens in Hanover Twp.

Patient First, a neighborhood medical center, has opened the doors to its new facility located in Hanover Township at the intersection of Schoenersville and Jacksonville roads across from the Westgate Mall.

The Hanover Township location became the 11th opened in Pennsylvania and 52nd Patient First facility in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Patient First medical centers began in 1981 in Richmond, Va., and operate as primary care physicians offering preventive, primary and urgent care services. X-ray, prescription, lab work and occupational services are available. The new center also accepts all major health insurance and files all claims for the patients.

They are open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily 365 days a year. No appointments are necessary. Patient First is staffed by physicians and all medical staff are board certified.

Director of marketing and community relations Ian Slinkman said that the center would employ between 40 and 60 personnel depending on patient volume.
