Grace M. Snyder, 86, of Richmond, Va., and formerly of Coopersburg, died March 19, 2014, at Henrico Doctor's Hospital, Richmond, Va. She was the wife of Ray G. Snyder for 59 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Franklin T. and Minnie M. (Reichelfelder) Bower.

She was a 1948 graduate of Whitehall High School. She was a graduate of Kutztown State Teacher College and earned a master's degree from Temple University.

She was a teacher in the Southern Lehigh High School District for 36 years before retiring in 1985.

She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, Richmond, Va.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a step son, Sherwood R. Snyder of Midlothian, Va.; two step daughters, Edith E. Pleasant of Winston-Salem, N.C. and April R. Mayers of Ashland, Va.; a sister, Ruth A. LaFaver of Allentown; 11 step grandchildren; and 10 step grandchildren.
