Bryon Stuart Allwine, 50, of Slatington, died March 23, 2014, in Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tamaqua.
He and his wife Wendy D. (Layton) Allwine celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary last June 20.
Born May 24, 1963, in Allentown, he was the son of Edward S. Allwine Jr. of Schnecksville and the late Dorothy M. (Fox) Allwine.
A 1982 graduate of Parkland High School, he graduated from Lehigh Career and Technical Institute in food service.
He was a food service worker at Wendy's, Dorneyville. Prior to that, he worked at KidsPeace, Schnecksville, in food service and late night childcare for 15 years.
Active in the life of his church, he was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, where he served on the fellowship, new members and evangelism committees. He also participated in a Bible study class.
He was a volunteer at The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley. A man of faith, he will forever be remembered as a wonderful son, a loving husband, a caring brother and a kind friend to all.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a sister, Valerie E. Allwine, of Schnecksville; brothers Edward S. III of Pennsburg, Walter S. of New York City, N.Y.; nephew Spencer L. of New York City; and beoved dogs Jackie, Chase, Ruby and Dolly.
