Marian Suzanna Frankenfield, 91, formerly of Emmaus, died March 17, 2014, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Asher Russell Frankenfield who died Feb. 16, 1997. Born in Vera Cruz, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Calvin and Mabel Andora (Fegley) Nester.

She was the first drum major at Emmaus High School and graduated with the class of 1940.

She worked at Rodale Mfg. and the former Pine Tree Tavern.

She was a life member of Upper Milford Mennonite Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ann McLaughlin, of Palmyra and a son, James Asher and his wife Meg, of Plano, Texas; brothers, E. Vernon Nester, of Allentown, Raymond Nester and his wife Ethel, of Allentown, Kermit Nester and his wife Jean, of Quakertown; sisters, Annabelle Buss, of Emmaus, Mae Wentz and her husband Ken Nicholas, of Emmaus; brother-in-law, Carl Lorish, of Allentown; sister-in-law, Lois and her husband Wilmer Nester, of Eutis, Fla., Stella and her husband Norman Nester, of Allentown, Marge and her husband Donald Nester, of Normal, Ill.; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memoriums may be made to the church or to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown, 18103.
