Esther M. Saylor, 92, of Mac-ungie, formerly of Boynton Beach, Fla., died March 23, 2014. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Saylor. Born in Henningsville, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer H. and Alice B. (Funk) Bechtel.
She worked at Allen Organ for 18 years, retiring in 1973.
She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie.
She was a member of the Macungie VFW Ladies Auxiliary, charter member of the Women's Club of Macungie, charter member of the Macungie Historical Society, life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Liberty Fire Co., New Berlinsville and Macungie Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a founding Den Mother for Cub Pack 71, Macungie.
She is survived by sons, Richard W. and his wife Yvonne G., of Laporte and David C. and his wife Sandra L., of Macungie; daughters, Janet L. Sell, of Macungie and Sherry M.A. and her husband David A. Kutz, of Old Zionsville; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was pre- deceased by brothers, Russell, Charles and Carl Bechtel; sisters, Hulda Kline and Myrtle Schmoyer.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. March 27 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
