Alfred T. Saleh, 83, of Lower Macungie Township, died March 21, 2014, in the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Renee' (Mahshi) Saleh. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary Dec. 9, 2013. Born in Worcester, Mass., he received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1967 from the University of Delaware.
He began his career at Air Products and Chemicals taking early retirement in 1982. After retirement he operated his own accounting tax practice until 2010.
He was a member, former choir member and Tidings volunteer at First Presbyterian Church of Allentown.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Susan and her husband Carl Kovacs, of Emmaus; sister, Freida Muallem; grandsons, Nicholas Kovacs, Justin Nast and his wife Nicole, Ryan Nast and his wife Jane; great-grandson, Benjamin Nast; son-in-law, Mark Nast. He was predeceased by a daughter, Hilda Saleh Nast.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to First Presbyterian Church, to benefit the Ecumenical Food Bank, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown, 18104.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. March 29 in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown. Call 9 to 11 a.m. in the church. Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
