Resident completes basic training
Air National Guard Airman Jesse M. Crossley graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Crossley is the son of Tina Crossley of Catasauqua and Russell Crossley of Allentown.
He is a 2012 graduate of Catasauqua High School.
ARMY
Sutter graduates from basic training
Army Reserve Pvt. Jacob A. Sutter recently graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine-week training program, Sutter studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons and chemical warfare and bayonet training. He also received training in drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
Sutter is the son of Christian and Scott Sutter of Catasauqua.
He is a 2013 graduate of Catasauqua High School.

Gonya graduates from basic training.
Air Force Airman Kyle T. Gonya recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. He completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Gonya is the son of Donna Schlicher of Catasauqua.
