Police investigate several burglaries
The Criminal Investigations Division of the Upper Macungie Police Department is investigating a series of residential burglaries that occurred within a short distance of one another.
Police say on Jan. 29 a resident reported a burglary occurred sometime between 6-8 p.m. at his home on High Saddle Lane.
A rear window was forced open to gain entry.
The home was partially ransacked and items were taken.
On Feb. 21, a resident reported a burglary occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 1 a.m. at his home along Robert Drive.
Once again, a rear window was forced open, the home was also partially ransacked and numerous valuable items removed. On March 7, a resident reported a burglary occurred between 7 p.m. and midnight at his home on Doris Drive.
This burglary also involved a forced entry to the rear window of the home, ransacking and items being stolen.
On March 12, a resident reported a burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. at this home along Lone Pond Lane.
Forced entry was made through a rear door.
The home was ransacked and items were removed.
Police say the homes were unoccupied during the burglaries and no injuries were reported.
Residents are asked to remain vigilant and to immediately report suspicious activity, people, or vehicles to police (non-emergency 610-437-5252, emergency 911).
