Jack L. Brown, 71, of Upper Milford Township, died March 16, 2014, in his home. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Stajk) Brown. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Charles and Marie (Schallock) Brown.

He served in the National Guard.

He was employed at Berks County Prison for 30 years, retiring as a captain.

He is survived by his wife; children, Donna Rishor, Laura Smith, Sharon Franz, James, Jason Teipel and Jack; sisters, Marie Carota and Lillian Don; 10 grandchildren.

Services will be held 11 a.m. March 21 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 500 Wood St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. March 20 and 9 to 10:15 a.m. March 21, all at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
