The Fourth Annual Celtic Classic Parade of Shamrocks and Celtic Events Scheduled

Celtic Cultural Alliance (CCA) is prepping for the fourth annual Parade of Shamrocks and St. Patrick's Day Celebration set for Saturday, March 15 in downtown historic Bethlehem. The day-long event kicks off with the lively and festive parade at 1:00 p.m.

"Downtown Bethlehem will be adorned in green, the sounds of bagpipes will fill the air and Irish dancers will step proudly," said Jayne Ann Recker, executive director of the Celtic Cultural Alliance. "This year we are excited about the number of participants joining us, including Boy Scout troops, high school and middle school bands and a lot of community groups. We are pleased to have our after-parade entertainment being hosted in the Sun Inn Courtyard."

The parade steps off at 13th Avenue & Broad Street and continues east on Broad to Main Street, making its way south on Main Street and ending under the Hill-To-Hill Bridge, like the Bethlehem Halloween Parade route.

After-parade activities - including musical guests The Kilmaine Saints and Craig Thatcher & Nyke VanWyck - will run in the Sun Inn Courtyard at 3 p.m.

"We appreciate all of the CCA's efforts to bring this celebration of Celtic heritage to the streets of Bethlehem each year," said Bethlehem Mayor Bob Donchez. "This city is proud of the work that the CCA does and thanks them for all of their initiatives in community and economic development."
