Lillie Waidelich

Lillie Waidelich, 81, of New Tripoli, died on March 10, 2014, in Cornerstone Living Center, New Tripoli.

She and her husband Archie J. Waidelich Jr. celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last June.

Born in Gilberton, Schyulkill County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lillie (Davis) Williams.

Formerly employed by the former Atlas Powder Co., Reynoldsville, and later as a nurses aide in the delivery room at Lower Bucks County Hospital, she last worked as a waitress at the former Blue Ridge Inn, New Tripoli.

She was a 1952 graduate of Tamaqua High School.

She was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Ruthann, wife of Roy Kunkel of Kempton, Sandra, wife of Willliam Daniels, Jr.; sons Thomas and wife Sonia of New Tripoli, Gary of Allentown; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers Thomas, David, Joseph, Evan and Howard.

Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. March 15, in Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway (Route 143), New Tripoli.

Calling hour begins 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton.

The Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate.
