Twenty-one enthusiastic kids arrived for a Lego building workshop at the Bethlehem Area Public Library recently for youngsters in grades three and up. The free program was sponsored by Bricks4Kidz® and the class for the day was building a motorized snowplow.

Bricks4Kidz® was founded in 2008 by an architect looking to combine the fun of building with LEGO® bricks with strong educational lessons in engineering, science, architecture and technology.

The Bricks4Kidz® Lehigh Valley was started in 2010 by Neil and Courtney Schroder. As ex-Air Force officers, they were looking for something that combined their passion for teaching and their love of children.

Each child paired off in groups of two with four at a table with a kit and an instruction book. Mr. "Lego" as Neil Schroder was referred to, was busy helping the kids through the different stages of putting together this motorized snowplow.
