Joseph E. Bodish, 87, of Schnecksville, died Feb. 24, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Jean (Kehm) Bodish for 62 years.

Born in Beersville, he was a son of the late Julius and Sofi (Puskaritz) Bodisch Sr.

He was proprietor of the Ruchsville Hotel; Joe and Jean's Cafe, Catasauqua; Whitehall Tavern, Cementon; and Neff's Hotel. He worked for JAD Amusement Company, Allentown.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Douglas E., husband of the late Anne (Flynn) of Schnecksville; and a sister, Hilda Andrew of Saylorsburg.

He was predeceased by five siblings, Julius Jr., Richard, Anna Hader, Sophie Piller, and Rose Tapler.
