Irene D. Stephens

Irene D. Stephens, 93, from Cetronia, died on March 9, 2014, in her home.

She was the wife of the late Adam W. Stephens.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Cunie H. and Dorothy E. (Bast) Warmkessel.

She worked in the Goldsmith Purse Factory, Allentown, for many years.

A member of Cedar United Church of Christ, Cetronia, she was a former Sunday School helper.

Along with her late husband, she was a founder of the Cetronia Ambulance Corps in 1955, and was the financial secretary for more than 25 years.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered in many of the fundraisers for the ambulance corps.

She was a loving wife and mother.

Her survivors include a son, Bruce A., and a sister, Lucille I. Warmkessel, both of Cetronia; and brother Gerald E. Warm-kessel of Lancaster.
