HAMILTON COLLEGE

Reynolds named to dean's list

Codi C. Reynolds of Whitehall was named to the dean's list at Hamilton College for the fall 2013 semester. Reynolds, a first-year student, is a graduate of the Whitehall-Coplay School District. She is the daughter of Herman and Linda Reynolds of Whitehall. A student must carry a semester course load of four or more graded credits with an average GPA of 3.5 or above to be named to the dean's list

EAST STROUDSBURG UNIVERSITY

Students named to dean's list

Students who have attained a 3.5 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time are eligible for the dean's list at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Among the dean's list students are area residents.

LEBANON VALLEY COLLEGE

Berner named to dean's list

Megan L. Berner of Whitehall was selected to serve as a Valley Ambassador for Lebanon Valley College during the fall 2013 semester. Berner is a sophomore actuarial science major and is a graduate of Whitehall High School. Berner was selected as one of 53 students to serve as a Valley Ambassador. Valley Ambassadors provide tours for prospective students and their families. Berner was also named to the dean's list at Lebanon Valley College for academic achievement during the fall 2013 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. Berner is pursuing a bachelor's of science in actuarial science.

UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH

Beedle designated as honor student

Maximilian Beedle of Whitehall was designated as an honor student in the Swanson School of Engineering for the term ending December 2013. Beedle is persuing a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. Honor list students must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.25 out of 4.0.

MUHLENBERG COLLEGE

Browne named to dean's list

Liam Browne of Catasauqua was named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris A. Browne and a graduate of Catasauqua High School.

MCDANIEL COLLEGE

Fatzinger named to dean's list

Danielle Fatzinger of North Catasauqua was named to the dean's list with highest honors for the fall 2013 sememster. Highest honors are earned for a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher.

RIDER UNIVERSITY

Local students on dean's list

Vanessa Rappold of Coplay was named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester. Rappold is a behavioral neuroscience major.

Elizabeth Urban of Northampton was named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester. Urban is a biology major.

UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND

Kistler named to dean's list

Rebecca Kistler of Northampton was named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester at the University of Rhode Island. To be named on the dean's list students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester with at least a 3.30 quality point average.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN

Frace named to dean's list

Anastasia Frace of Bath was named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester. Students must have a 3.50 or better grade point average to be eligible for the dean's list.

DELAWARE VALLEY COLLEGE

Serena Bet of Whitehall, Katelyn Lucas and Colleen Tobey of Coplay, Elizabeth Grietzer, Emily Kichline and Sabrina Steed of Bath and Erika Klemp of Northampton attained the dean's list at Delaware Valley College.

Whitehall grad recieves degree

Kaitlin Bucklin of Whitehall graduated from Elizabethtown College in January with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education.

Student honors Dr. Martin Luther King

Jerel Palmer of Bath joined thousands nationwide, volunteering in a day of service to honor Dr. King. Palmer and other students assisted at Opportunity House, Berks Food Bank, Children's Home of Reading, Easter Seals of Eastern Pa., Friend Inc., Boys and Girls Club of Reading/ Berks and Weed and Seed of Reading.

Student named to dean's list

Christina Muthard of Coplay was named to the dean's list for the fall 2013 semester. Students who have completed at least 12 semester hours and earned a minimum grade point average of 3.50 for the semester are named to the dean's list.
