Grace E. Markowitz, 89, formerly of Emmaus, died March 5, 2014, in Cedarbrook. She was the wife of the late Michael Markowitz. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel (Goheen) Bader.

She worked as a supervisor for Dun and Bradstreet for 20 years, retiring in 1991.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Emmaus and was a den mother for Cub Pack and Boy Scouts Troop 25.

She will be best remembered for selling cotton candy and snow cones at all the local school festivals and at the former Pine Tree Park.

She is survived by sons, Michael, Jr. and his wife Shannon, of Springfield, Mo. and John, of Emmaus; daughters, Jane Hein, of Breinigsville, Gail, of Miami Beach, Fla., and Michelle Bollinger, of Allentown; grandchildren, Tammy Hein, Michael H. Markowitz and Daniel Markowitz. She was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Hein.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. March 13 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
