Willard F. Hilbert, 88, of Alburtis, died Feb. 21, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown.

The husband of Jane C. (Epting) Blank Hilbert and the late Lena (Folk) Hilbert, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Helen (O'Neill) Hilbert.

He worked for Eaton Corp., Bethlehem, for 23 years before retiring in 1988.

He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Alburtis, Macungie VFW, Alburtis Senior Citizens, and the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club.

He honorably served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, in the South Pacific.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by stepsons Larry Hoffman of Allentown and Keith Blank of Alburtis; sister Marion Freyman of Allentown; four step-granddaughters; four step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great grandchildren.
