Robert L. "Bob" Baldwin, 86, of New Tripoli, died Feb. 25, 2014, in Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli.
He was the husband of the late Alta I. (Slaughter) Baldwin.
Born June 6, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of the late James H. and Ruth M. (Keily) Baldwin.
He was the assistant administrator at the former Zimmerman's Country Homestead, New Tripoli, for eight years before retiring.
Prior to that, he was a physical therapy aide at Cedarbrook, South Whitehall, for 20 years, and served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He held the rank of sergeant first class with 24 years of service.
He was a charter member of Hope Community Church, Weisenberg Township, a life member of the Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington, and Slatington Lodge 440, F.&A.M.
His survivors include daughter Annemarie Baldwin of Tamaqua; grandchildren Kristina M. Weiner and her husband, Joseph, of Palmerton, Kerry L. Baldwin and his significant other, Brenda Mohr, of New Tripoli, Kimberly A. Rittenhouse and her husband, Nathaniel, of Tamaqua; great-grandchildren Jeffrey, Ashley, Jonathon and Abigail.
