Clayton Castles, machinist, 102

Clayton Castles, 102, formerly of Bethlehem, died Feb. 22, 2014, at his daughter's home. Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Samuel J. and Kathryn (Opper) Castles. He was the husband of the late Marion (Chase) Castles.

He was a machinist at Bethlehem Steel for many years before retiring. After his retirement, he worked part time for Coaches Florist, Bethlehem.

He was a member of Christ Church U.C.C., Bethlehem.

He was a member of the former Bethlehem Steel Club.

He is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Snyder of Yardley; a son, Ross J. of LaVale, Md.; four grandchildren, Kathy Ann Bowers and Jon Jay, Thomas Allen and Peter Douglas Snyder; 10 great grandchildren; and 3.5 great–great–grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Sheldon; and four sisters, Kathryn, Dorothy, Leila and Grace.
