John C. Melchior, Jr., 89, formerly of Emmaus, died March 1, 2014. He was the husband of the late Muriel R. (Fischer) Melchior who died August 20, 2007.

He was an Army veteran serving during World War II.

He is survived by a son, John and his wife Patricia; daughter, Mary Ellen and her husband Andrew Bennett; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Carol Lynn Melchior and Sally A. Becker.

A visitation will be held 10:30 to 11 a.m. March 8 in the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
