Painting on air: The Baum School of Art exhibition, "Women's Work: Five Painters," celebrates the work of Donna Haney, Bebe Traylor, Jill Peckelun, Sandra Corpora and Donna Needs, above, who have been painting together "en plein air" (French for "in the open air" to describe the act of painting outdoors) for more than 20 years in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding region. They are all skilled direct painters who respond to their subject matter in their own ways. During the children's holiday visit, their daughter's forthcoming book promises to reveal the family plot.
