Cetronia and Woodlawn volunteer firefighters responded along with Western Salisbury, Eastern Salisbury, Emmaus and Lower Macungie firefighters to a two-alarm house fire Feb. 16 at 2020 Greenwood Road, Salisbury Township.

Western Salisbury Deputy Chief Jason Faryniak, first on scene, quickly called for a second alarm as fire was showing from the second floor.

Firefighters made their way to the dwelling through deep snow carrying ladders, tools and hose lines to attack the flames.

It took several hours for the fire crews to extinguish the fire and clear the home of the heavy smoke resulting from the fire.
