Frank R. Dengler, 74, of Orefield, died Feb. 22, 2014, surrounded by his family at home.
He was the loving husband of Clarabelle (Kressley) Dengler for 56 years in January.
Born in Lynnville, he was a son of the late Frank and Edna (Wanamaker) Dengler.
An owner and operator truck driver leased to various firms around the area for 53 years, he also was a Lowhill Township supervisor for 40 years.
A member of Ziegels Lutheran Church, Brein-igsville, where he served on the church council.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dale R. and wife, Donna; daughters Denise, wife of Jim Macalush, and Lisa, wife of Todd Arndt, all of Orefield; brothers Roy and wife, Dolly, of Emerald, Kenneth and wife, Ruth, of Nazareth, Carl and wife, Edna, of Mertztown; sister Verna Beers of New Tripoli; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Willard and Barbara Kressley; grandchildren Katie Macalush, Stephanie and Ryan Dengler, and Alexis Arndt; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Clyde.
His services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 27 at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, with the Rev. Bruce D. MacLaughlin officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the church.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
