Eugenia (Horja) Galatis, 89, of Bethlehem, and a resident at Gracedale Nursing Home, died Feb.11, 2014 at LVH-Muhlenberg Hospital. Born in Sibiu, Romania, she was a daughter of the late Vasile and Elizabeta Horja. She was the wife of the late Spiro J. Galatis.

Before retiring, she and her husband ran a candy store in the Upper Eastside of New York for many years.

She was of the Roman Catholic faith.

She is survived by a son, Hermes and his wife Norma of Bethlehem; a daughter, Paula of Queens, N.Y.; two brothers, Vasile and Relu and two sisters, Mili and Sisi, all of Romania; two grandchildren, Liz and Alexis; and a great-grandchild, Ethan.
